As part of my wider DRPG project, I won a week’s placement alongside six other designers. During the placement, we were challenged to work as a team to create a futuristic product for Nike using AI, focusing on using AI as a tool rather than the final output. We developed a style guide and explored multiple product concepts based around advanced, futuristic technology, all aimed at runners and enhancing the running experience. Working collaboratively, we created a range of outcomes and advertising concepts that were consistent, cohesive, and aligned with Nike’s branding. We also explored guerrilla marketing ideas, including an AI-generated concept of an interactive heat map that, when touched, reveals data such as heart rate and other running metrics. This helped demonstrate how the technology could be experienced in real-world environments. The final work brought everything together into a series of adverts that felt innovative while still clearly branded to Nike, with all products and people created using AI.
